A flexible space inspired by classical culture

Grupo Cador has built the new coworking space LOOM Campo de las Naciones for MERLIN Properties, with 1,400 m² next to IFEMA Madrid.

The design by Gaztelu Arquitectos is inspired by classical culture and the four elements—air, fire, earth, and water—represented with natural materials such as wood, clay, glass, and textiles. Everything is organized around a central agora, conceived as a community hub that fosters collaboration.

Construction challenges

  • Executing a complex design with natural materials and demanding finishes.
  • Constructing porticos and interior structures with geometric precision.
  • Coordinating the different work packages within a tight deadline.

CADOR's role in the project

Grupo Cador was responsible for the execution of the work, translating the architectural vision into the built space with quality, functionality, and on-time delivery.

Main milestones of the execution:

    • Construction of 24 private offices
    • Development of an auditorium/corporate event area and 7 meeting rooms with different capacities.
    • Adaptation of the space for 65 workstations and flexible areas that promote community interaction.

Results

  • A coworking space of 1,400 m² that merges classical inspiration and elements of nature with a contemporary approach.
  • Flexible and high-quality spaces, designed for companies, entrepreneurs, and corporate events.
  • Fourth project executed by Grupo Cador for LOOM, consolidating its experience in coworking and flexible offices.
