Zelestra Offices in Bilbao: History, Technology and Bespoke Design
Grupo Cador has completed the fit-out of the new Zelestra headquarters — formerly Solarpack — located in the historic centre of Bilbao. The office occupies a unique building designed in 1916 by Pedro Asúa, once home to the Coliseo Theatre, featuring a spectacular Italian-style façade that has been carefully preserved.
This 1,600 m² project stands out for its premium finishes, especially the custom carpentry in key areas such as the reception and canteen, which give the space a distinct identity. The interior design, led by Gaztelu Arquitectos, aligns with the company’s renewed brand image as a leading multi-tech renewable energy company.
One of the main challenges of the project was its technological integration. We implemented advanced acoustic insulation, upgraded the IT infrastructure to support 12 synchronized screens in the control room, and managed the entire execution while respecting strict time constraints due to the building’s location and regulations.
The result is a workspace that merges the historic essence of the building with a modern, technological and innovative spirit — a perfect reflection of Zelestra’s evolution and values. We are proud to have contributed to this transformation.
